Call for Nominations: ALPHA Board of Directors & President Elect

Are you interested in serving on the ALPHA Board? Do you know a colleague who would make a great Board Member? Service on the Alaska Public Health Association (ALPHA) Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity for public health leaders to contribute to the vision and direction of advancing public health in Alaska. Submit your nomination with the ALPHA Board Nomination Form by October 13th for the 2018 Annual Election. 

This Call for Nominations includes the following positions:  

  • The President-Elect serves three years. In 2018, they will serve on the executive committee and
    assist with the planning of the Alaska Health Summit, followed by serving as President in 2019. In 2020,
    as Past President, they will have the distinguished honor of serving as the Chair for the Alaska Health
    Summit Planning Committee.
  • Board Members serve three years. There are four Board seats open for election. The Board
    Member commitment includes attendance at regular board meetings (in person or via teleconference, an
    average of 7 per year), attendance at the annual planning retreat in February (travel funds are available),
    and the willingness to serve on at least one committee.
