Recognizes two individuals who have made outstanding contributions to ALPHA, one over the course of several years and the other during the past 1 to 2 years, by promoting ALPHA’s purpose, “to advance the public’s health." Nominees must either be a current or past member of ALPHA. Nominees will have demonstrated one or more of the following ALPHA values: bq.
- Equity – Worked to identify and raise awareness about public health disparities in Alaska and advocated for specific measures to eliminate these disparities.
- Leadership – Guided and influenced issues affecting the public’s health in Alaska.
- Partnering – Collaborating with other public health advocates on initiatives.
- Public Involvement – Advocated for the education of Alaskans on public health issues and for their direct involvement in supporting the improvement of public health throughout Alaska.
- Public Health Law – Participated in developing and advocating for sound public health law and policy.
