ALPHA Award for Long Term and Short Term Service

Recognizes two individuals who have made outstanding contributions to ALPHA, one over the course of several years and the other during the past 1 to 2 years, by promoting ALPHA’s purpose, “to advance the public’s health." Nominees must either be a current or past member of ALPHA. Nominees will have demonstrated one or more of the following ALPHA values: bq.

 

  • Equity – Worked to identify and raise awareness about public health disparities in Alaska and advocated for specific measures to eliminate these disparities.
  • Leadership – Guided and influenced issues affecting the public’s health in Alaska.
  • Partnering – Collaborating with other public health advocates on initiatives.
  • Public Involvement – Advocated for the education of Alaskans on public health issues and for their direct involvement in supporting the improvement of public health throughout Alaska.
  • Public Health Law – Participated in developing and advocating for sound public health law and policy.
